About
Forty years at the intersection of faith and public life.
Dan Hall is an evangelical minister and former Minnesota Senator with more than forty years of experience across ministry, education, and politics. He has spent his career in the space where those worlds meet — and he has never treated them as separate callings.
During his decade in the Minnesota Senate, Dan drew on that whole background at once. He advocated for religious freedom and, throughout his service, kept pointing back to the two things he believes actually change a state: prayer, and a personal relationship with Christ.
Legislating gave him a clear view of how public decisions get made, who carries the weight of them, and how few people in that building have anyone praying for them by name.
Dan’s work has reached well beyond the Capitol. He has served as a chaplain to metro police departments, and he founded Midwest Chaplains, which established chaplaincy programs in police and fire departments throughout Minnesota — putting trained, steady people alongside first responders in the hardest hours of the job.
He also launched The Truth Report, a publication that now engages 10,000 people of faith — pastors, ministers, and intercessors across the state — in honest conversation at the intersection of faith and politics.
Today Dan serves as a political chaplain and advisor to Minnesota’s leaders, offering both spiritual guidance and practical wisdom. He is candid about the strain politics puts on the people inside it, and he meets that strain the way he always has: through service and through prayer.
He is deeply committed to upholding biblical truth in everyday life, and he believes preserving religious freedom is central to America’s future.
“To increase Him in us.”
Dan’s guiding motto, and the plainest statement of what all of this is for.
